The Friends are delighted to have received over £800 raised this year by personal trainer, Neil Wheeler, of Collingbourne Ducis.
Back in April 2020, Marlborough.News reported how Neil had set a fundraising target of £250 when he took part in a virtual race challenge for ultra runners during lockdown. After running 107 miles around his 200 metre back garden (at times, in pouring rain, and then through the night), Neil had smashed that target, raising a whopping £818 for the Friends of Savernake Hospital and the Community!
Neil, who runs “Neil’s Fitness”, is no stranger to running. After completing his first 10km run in 2013 he has gone on to compete in a multitude of marathons and ultramarathons. As a personal trainer and gym instructor, he focuses on making exercise enjoyable and helping others to achieve their fitness goals too.
The Friends of Savernake Hospital and the Community would like to say a very big thank you to Neil and all his supporters for raising such a huge amount on behalf of the Friends.
