The Friends have recently awarded a grant of £1,837 to the Podiatry department at Savernake Hospital to enable them to purchase a Huntleigh Toe & Ankle Pressure Kit.

Rebecca Rogers, a Specialist Podiatrist with the department said, ‘The kit is an invaluable tool in assessing vascular health, particularly in patients with diabetes and peripheral arterial disease. By accurately measuring toe pressures, we can detect circulatory issues at an early stage, enabling prompt referrals and interventions that can help prevent complications such as chronic foot ulcers and amputations. This essential piece of equipment empowers our podiatry team to provide a higher standard of care, ensuring better health outcomes and an improved quality of life for our patients. We would like to thank the Friends for their kindness, generosity and commitment to improving healthcare in our area’.
