The Friends of Savernake Hospital & The Community have granted £1,238.75 for a Labcold Vaccine Fridge at Ramsbury & Wanborough Surgery. This will benefit 6 local surgeries with vaccines for Flu, RSV and Covid.
Ramsbury & Wanborough Surgery are the “designated site” for all of the Covid Vaccination Programme for East Kennet (Ramsbury & Wanborough, Burbage, Bedwyn and KAMP) and, during the Autumn and Spring campaigns, have thousands of Covid vaccines stored in their fridges. They also hold RSV and Flu Clinics, so needed to expand their capacity to accommodate the vaccines for all patients covered in these clinics and the PCN clinics.
Sarah Simpkins, Finance and IT Manage at Ramsbury and Wanborough Surgery, said: “Just to let you know our lovely new fancy, glass fronted fridge has just been delivered – all in time for Covid Vaccine deliveries next week! Thank you again for all your support. It’s been invaluable!”
Patients from across both Ramsbury & Wanborough sites will benefit from the extra capacity, as will those who attend their Covid, Flu & RSV Clinics. They also hold all the stock for the whole of East Kennet for Covid, so are the sole risk taker for all of the Covid vaccines.
